About Wool on my mind

Hello my name is Louise. I’m somewhere in my 30’s, somewhere in the North of England and somewhere between depression and an assortment of other health problems.

Rather than focus on the list of things that are wrong, I wanted instead to share how wool, textures, colours, paper and ink have helped me to focus on the more positive side of life. Sometimes there will be lots of posts and sometimes there wont be many because that’s how undiagnosed medical conditions tend to ebb and flow. I hope that in sharing how crafting has helped me to order my mind and how using my hands to produce things has helped me regain my sense of worth, I can also help others.

I love colours and that includes colours that aren’t ‘on trend’ right now. I love technology, geek culture, nature, animals and breaking rules and these are the things which influence my crochet as well as playing with paper.

All content within this blog, including the images (even those hosted on Instagram) are copyright the writer. If you wish to use an image it is likely I will say yes as long as you attribute to me. Free patterns are exactly that and no attribution is required, though it would be nice if you could.

I am on Ravelry as EmbraceCuriosity, on Instagram as EmbraceCuriosity, and on Pinterest on EmbraceCuriosity.  If you wish to contact me I can be reached on woolonmymind at gmail dot com.
